About the Role
You'll lead the engineering for Commercial Tech & Integrations and Stability & Operations, around seven engineers, with the mandate to shape how they work. ETR is a newly formed function that makes enterprise adoption possible and drives client partnerships and revenue at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineers, including growth plans, coaching, performance, and wellbeing.
- Own delivery and technical direction, partnering with tech leads on architecture.
- Hold the standard for how the teams design, review, and ship across two technical domains.
- Hire and raise the bar for the teams.
- Drive an AI-native operating rhythm, with engineers using AI tooling and tighter discovery-to-build-to-review loops.
- Own the operational backbone, including on-call health, incident practice, and communication.
- Own delivery, technical direction, and team health across Commercial Tech & Integrations and Stability & Operations.
Requirements
- Engineering management experience with building and running production systems.
- Technical range across integration and API design, identity and SSO, third-party systems, reliability, observability, incident response, and SLOs.
- Ability to steer a design review, challenge an estimate, and make build-versus-buy or sequencing calls.
- Experience keeping teams shipping when the structure wasn't fixed.
- Experience balancing pace, quality, and people.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or leveling up engineers.
- Experience working with AI tooling day to day and expecting engineers to do the same.
- Must not want to stay predominantly hands-on in the code.
