About the Role
The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) assists the general manager with the day-to-day operations of the store, adhering to Global Partner's policies and procedures. Global Partners believes business starts with people and has a 90+ year history of taking care of customers, communities, and employees.
Responsibilities
- Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
- Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for upholding operational standards.
- Monitor shift cash handling and inventory.
- Assist in investigations of shortages/overages of $100 per month or less and inventory variations of .5% of sales or less.
- Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets and records prescribed by the General Manager and/or Territory Manager.
- Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and/or other administrative duties as requested, adhering to all Global Partner's cash control policies.
- Manage cash management procedures including bank deposits and change orders.
- Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards according to Global Partner's store image standards.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ensure store is secure and safe; comply with all safety and environmental guidelines.
- Report any issues to proper authority as well as management.
- Ensure adequate gasoline levels and coordinate gasoline deliveries.
- Engage in all company promotional initiatives.
- Promote a high level of guest service.
- Perform duties as required by company policies and procedures and any other duties assigned by your General Manager/ Territory Manager.
Requirements
- Must be available to work flexible hours that may include day, nights, weekends and/or holidays.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
- Ability to perform basic computer functions.
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in intermittent temperatures, i.e., outside, cooler, etc.
- Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladder/stairs and lift up to 25 lbs. during a shift.
- Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
