About the Role
The Urban Studies Program at Barnard College seeks a part-time instructor to teach undergraduate courses during the 2026-2027 academic year.
Responsibilities
- Teach URBS UN3310 Race, Space, and Urban Schools in Fall 2026.
- Teach URBS UN3451 Environmental Justice: Gender, Race, Class and the Environment in Spring 2027.
- Determine exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities with the Chair or Director.
Requirements
- Terminal degree in a related discipline, with all requirements for the degree completed by the time of hiring offer.
- Submit a CV.
- Submit a statement of interest including teaching philosophy, most relevant prior teaching experience, and advanced pedagogical or relevant training.
- Identify three references, including one with direct knowledge of teaching capabilities, if selected as a finalist.
