About the Role
As a cyber mission specialist, you will use your cyberspace operations experience to create solutions executed on a worldwide stage. You will apply your expertise in various Cybersecurity areas, including Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidance, Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E), system vulnerability, and compliance in support of Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Your role will be vital in evaluating potential weaknesses and the effectiveness of mitigations for cybersecurity solutions, leveraging cyberspace operations systems to aggregate threat feeds, and informing senior leadership on emerging technology, security requirements, and threats. You will work with headquarters-level decision makers on technical implementations to promote cybersecurity sustainment across multiple technology areas and assess adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures to support system A&A efforts through cyber risk assessment, policy analysis, technology evaluations, and NIST security control validation.
Responsibilities
- Apply expertise in technology to analyze system security implementations and application security.
- Provide recommendations to decision makers and engineers.
- Develop operations plans to support command and control.
- Evaluate potential weaknesses and the effectiveness of mitigations for cybersecurity solutions.
- Leverage cyberspace operations systems to aggregate threat feeds.
- Inform senior leadership on emerging technology, security requirements, and threats.
- Work with headquarters-level decision makers on technical implementations to promote cybersecurity sustainment.
- Assess adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures to support system A&A efforts through cyber risk assessment, policy analysis, technology evaluations, and NIST security control validation.
Requirements
- Experience in a cybersecurity or computer field, including supporting information assurance, networking, or systems administration.
- Experience with applying system security configurations to meet compliance standards.
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity standards and the implementation of industry best practices.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain Security+ CE Certification within 120 days of start date.
