About the Role
Corpay is seeking a Junior Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer to support the development of advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence initiatives within the International Vehicle Payments division. You will report to the Lead Data Scientist and collaborate with IT teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends and insights.
- Support the development of predictive models and machine learning workflows.
- Support the development of agentic LLM-based tools and applications.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to guide product and business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and engineering.
- Assist with the design and maintenance of data pipelines.
- Document and communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Masters in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and key data science libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
- Operational understanding of machine learning principles and statistical modelling.
- Experience with SQL for data querying.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Understanding of version control systems like Git.
