About the Role

The Field Engineer (FSE) provides the front line interface of ARxIUM systems to the customer. The FSE performs field service activities involving the installation, maintenance, repair, and modification of ARxIUM systems at a customer facility, requiring excellent, customer-centered communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software and hardware preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Perform software and hardware emergency break fix service calls.
  • Refine and validate PLC Coding.
  • Work with the facility to schedule appropriate downtime for preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Complete all paperwork and reports in a timely and accurate manner, including ticket updates and closures, expenses, timesheets, and other administrative requirements.
  • Follow up on open issues, tickets, and escalations.
  • Work outside normal business hours may be required to service products.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in a technical field including mechanical, electrical, computer, or biomedical.
  • 3 - 5 years experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs.
  • Conveyor and Automation experience.
  • Engineering and Electrical experience.
  • 7+ years of direct field service (or equivalent) experience troubleshooting and repairing computerized electro-mechanical systems.
  • 7+ years of experience working in a service capacity with direct customer interaction.
