About the Role

Oversee the daily clinical operations of the Operating Room and Perioperative Services. Become a transformational leader via shared governance at a Magnet designated hospital. Mentor, supervise and evaluate the team to reach their full potential and inspire continued professional growth. Develop and manage budgets, resource allocation and scheduling. Regularly assess unit operations and identify process improvements to enhance the patient experience. Partner with senior leaders who encourage and support continuous growth in a collaborative environment. Excel as a change agent, and advance initiatives focused on enhancing quality and performance throughout the unit for a variety of patients, ranging from adult to pediatric. Lead the path to explore new and innovative surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinical operations of the Operating Room and Perioperative Services.
  • Mentor, supervise, and evaluate the team.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resource allocation, and scheduling.
  • Assess unit operations and identify process improvements.
  • Partner with senior leaders.
  • Advance initiatives focused on enhancing quality and performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience required.
  • NYS RN license required.
  • All roles require on-site presence.
  • Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
  • NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership competencies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills preferred.

Experience Level

  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience required.

Education Level

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing required.
  • Master's Degree Nursing required or Master's Degree in related field (if already holds BSN) required. If currently pursuing a Master's Degree, must obtain within 1 year of hire.
  • AORN certification preferred.

Salary/Compensations

  • $150,000-$185,000/Annual
