About the Role
Be an Advocate, a Care Taker, a Friend to Patients. At NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, certified nurses aides thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers, serving as critical points of contact for patients and their families. Partner with Nurses, ICU Technicians and more to monitor patient vitals, deliver meals, and ensure safe transport. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse, improving the patient experience and maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.
Responsibilities
- Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients
- Ensure the delivery of meals
- Provide safe transport
- Perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Improve the patient experience
- Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment
- Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required
- All roles require on-site presence
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP
- NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses

- Previous Nurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting
- Certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program

- Completed at least one clinical practicum

- High School diploma or GED
- BSN program for nursing
Salary/Compensations
- $29.02-$34.85/Hourly
