About the Role

This role supports Wholesale Onboarding with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution. It is part of a newly formed Client Deal Services team, embedded with the Front Office Investment Bank business, supporting client outreach, document collection, onboarding case coordination, and process optimization for the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB).

Responsibilities

  • Support with day-to-day Wholesale Onboarding initiatives including KYC processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate and engage with clients/front office to gather Customer Due Diligence information/evidence for client onboarding or KYC refresh.
  • Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate Wholesale Onboarding processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for change in Wholesale Onboarding processes.
  • Develop and implement Wholesale Onboarding procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Develop reports and presentations on Wholesale Onboarding performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identify industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Wholesale Onboarding.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to improve Wholesale Onboarding efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well-developed professional knowledge and skills.
  • Set objectives and coach employees, appraise performance, and determine reward outcomes.
  • Lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments.
  • Identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation to complete assignments.
  • Identify new directions for assignments and/or projects, using cross-functional methodologies or practices.
  • Consult on complex issues and provide advice to People Leaders for escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls.
  • Perform work closely related to other areas, understanding coordination and contribution to organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with other work areas for business-aligned support.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information, including sensitive or difficult-to-communicate content.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience working with CIB clients.
  • Good communication and internal and external stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of banking products, Lev Fin, ECM, and DCM and services.
  • Experience with client onboarding and lifecycle guidance processes.
  • Experience coordinating teams across Front Office, Operations, Product, and support functions.
  • Experience driving highly detailed client journeys from initiation through to client readiness.
  • Experience with onboarding execution, deal coordination, and client readiness in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to guide competing priorities while maintaining a robust focus on risk and structure.
  • Organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to guide multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Ability to ensure delivery against critical deal and client timelines.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and business change.
  • Experience partnering with global teams and third-party vendors.
  • Understanding of risk and coordinates, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks.
