About the Role
This position provides the opportunity to focus on building media strategies that result in high-quality placements and implementing public relations tactics for leading top-tier clients. Consumer lifestyle experience, tech experience, and event marketing experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leads to develop, present, and execute plans for integrated communications campaigns, which could include thought leadership and earned media, amplification tactics, influencer and social strategy and sponsored content that deliver measurable results.
- Bring proactive media strategy counsel and solid media contacts to client programs, leveraging trends and providing strategic client counsel as programs evolve.
- Grow and maintain strong relationships across traditional media including food & beverage, consumer, lifestyle and tech media.
- Draft or refine messaging, pitch, Q&A documents and other materials, as well as plans and recaps.
- Conduct research and recommendations for thought leadership opportunities (speaking opportunities and events, awards/ranking and recognition).
- Project-manage major activations for clients, including brand partnerships, media trips, celebrity partnerships, vendor management and events.
- Manage junior-level staff workflow and act as a line of review for client deliverables.
- Counsel junior-level staff and provide professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of public relations experience.
- Demonstrated experience executing public relations plans and the ability to draft and implement strategic public relations programs within budget.
- Well-rounded experience in the consumer practice and tech areas, with proven success working with a variety of top-tier consumer and tech media.
- Understanding of product integration, media partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
- Develop and edit high quality written materials, including media correspondence and story angles; and illustrate strong presentation skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple activities seamlessly, effectively and efficiently.
- Energetic self-starter and resourceful problem solver – gets things moving and keeps things on track; knows when to ask for help.
