About the Role
FleishmanHillard is seeking an Account Supervisor for its Health & Life Science practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on communications programs for a leading healthcare brand in the oncology space, build client relationships, and manage strategic outreach to various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day activities for account teams, oversee projects, connect across teams, and provide client counsel.
- Facilitate teamwork, coordinate resources, and create opportunities for junior staff development.
- Develop and provide feedback on strategic plans, press materials, social copy, and client correspondence.
- Drive strategic plans and communications campaigns aligned with client business objectives.
- Develop relationships and coordinate correspondence with external audiences including third-party organizations, healthcare professionals, and media.
- Develop and monitor client program plans and budgets for profitability.
- Explore and create opportunities for incremental business growth within client organizations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4+ years' experience.
- Biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare communications experience within a communications agency is required.
- A thirst for knowledge and interest in the healthcare and communications industry.
- Skilled at applied strategic thinking, anticipating issues, trends, and connections.
- Collaborative team member and leader with strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to translate clinical data and information into lay language.
- Keen understanding of digital, traditional, and social media in integrated communications strategies.
- Ability to develop and contribute to strategic outreach plans via social platforms, third-party organizations, healthcare professionals, and media.
- Ability to supervise and train junior-level account staff, provide quality control, and determine workflow.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Demonstrated strategic media relations planning, including developing pitch angles and pitching story ideas to reporters.
- Strong client relationship skills.
