About the Role
We are a leader in retail and pharmacy, known for convenience and an extensive store network servicing the needs of Canadians. Our Pharmacy team at the Central office drives strategy and service planning for our store pharmacies, ensuring patients receive the best and most innovative healthcare services. We help maintain Shoppers Drug Mart's leadership in retail pharmacy by innovating new product and service offerings, setting strategy, and taking responsibility for our recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of legislative and contractual pricing changes.
- Play a major role in key strategic pricing initiatives.
- Provide insights and recommendations on the impact of pricing changes, third-party contracts, and regulatory changes through pricing research, analysis, and modeling.
- Compile data from multiple sources to analyze current pricing position and identify potential opportunities for pricing adjustments.
- Act as Pharmacy Pricing Subject Matter Expert in resolving and managing pricing-specific issues.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on various pricing initiatives.
- Undertake additional project work as needed.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education equivalent to a university degree in accounting, business, or economics.
- Retail pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing to audiences with varying degrees of seniority.
- High level of initiative to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- Ability to set and prioritize work to meet required deadlines amid competing demands.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office software applications, Microstrategy (or comparable Business Intelligence software), and relational database/SQL.
- Knowledge of Pharmacy Dispensing software (Healthwatch, Kroll etc.) is an asset.
