About the Role

Operate, monitor, and maintain manufacturing equipment to produce capsules and tablets in compliance with established procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate encapsulation and compression equipment independently and within a team.
  • Prepare equipment according to batch records and SOPs for production runs.
  • Feed powders and raw materials into machines and monitor operational parameters.
  • Perform in-process checks, including weight, length, and visual inspections.
  • Document all production activities accurately in batch records and logbooks.
  • Ensure products are manufactured according to quality specifications and within established timelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Alert supervisors and mechanics regarding equipment malfunctions or product deviations.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and transition of equipment between product batches.
  • Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and safety requirements.
  • Support cross-training initiatives within manufacturing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or alternative shifts as needed.
  • Must comply with GMP requirements.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours per shift.
  • Must be able to work in an environment that is exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens.
  • Ability to climb stepladders with ease.
  • Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc. within a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to clear drug screening processes, which include testing for all illegal substances per Federal Guidelines.
