About the Role
Operate, monitor, and maintain manufacturing equipment to produce capsules and tablets in compliance with established procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate encapsulation and compression equipment independently and within a team.
- Prepare equipment according to batch records and SOPs for production runs.
- Feed powders and raw materials into machines and monitor operational parameters.
- Perform in-process checks, including weight, length, and visual inspections.
- Document all production activities accurately in batch records and logbooks.
- Ensure products are manufactured according to quality specifications and within established timelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Alert supervisors and mechanics regarding equipment malfunctions or product deviations.
- Ensure proper cleaning and transition of equipment between product batches.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and safety requirements.
- Support cross-training initiatives within manufacturing.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and recordkeeping.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work overtime or alternative shifts as needed.
- Must comply with GMP requirements.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours per shift.
- Must be able to work in an environment that is exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens.
- Ability to climb stepladders with ease.
- Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc. within a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to clear drug screening processes, which include testing for all illegal substances per Federal Guidelines.
