Responsibilities

  • File Human Resource paperwork and ensure accuracy.
  • Process employment verifications.
  • Assist with NHC Mail processing, including drop off, pick up, sorting, and applying postage.
  • Process performance evaluations by entering data into HRIS and updating spreadsheets.
  • Print NHC Employee IDs for new hires and replacements.
  • Update the "HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT US" spreadsheet, including tracking tabs for Sign On Bonus and Employee Referral Bonus.
  • Create Human Resource department flyers.
  • Create new hire packets and other necessary informational packets.
  • Obtain DMV checks on employees and reconcile monthly DMV billing.
  • Obtain criminal background checks through National Background Investigation, Inc., as needed.
  • Enter new employees into the Office Of Child and Family Services and License Event Notification Service, and delete terminated employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of HRIS data entry and employee status changes.
  • Serve as a backup for tracking applications and creating application reports.
  • Perform data entry into HRIS/Precision and maintain accurate Human Resource records.
  • Serve as a backup for Purchasing.
  • Assist and implement recruitment efforts as needed.
  • Serve as a backup for processing NHC Baby Blankets.
  • Provide backup coverage for the front desk when needed.
  • Participate in staff in-service training programs as required.
  • Update employee address and telephone number changes in Empire, Guardian, and Davis Vision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.

Requirements

  • Human Resource and/or administrative assistant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and diverse overall computer skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to coordinate details.
