About the Role

The Field Coordinator will support managing the Contractor’s execution of work planning and packaging by undertaking and reviewing quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination handing over and turnover processes. Your work will contribute to ensuring field activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. You will report construction related events on a timely basis including daily reports, weekly reports, and monthly reports. You will have the opportunity to be part of the Delivery Partner team for the Ontario Line Subway project.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the field teams in monitoring the activities of contractor to ensure compliance with project technical requirements.
  • Ensures that health and safety is the primary consideration during the delivery of the work.
  • Track and expedites the review of safety and construction submittments.
  • Verifies and tracks installed quantities.
  • Prepares and maintains daily reports.

Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work in lieu of degree.
  • Experience of working in a heavy civil project environment as part of a construction and/or engineering team, either as an intern or entry level.
  • Basic understanding of the mechanics of delivering construction projects.
  • Awareness of construction site safety and basic good environmental practices.
  • Detail orientated, diligent and able to work in teams or alone.
  • Enthusiastic and resilient.
  • Good relationship building skills and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Fluent in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Successful clearance of applicable pre-employment checks is required which may include Criminal Background/Police Information check, Drug & Alcohol test, Reference checks as well as submittal of Provincial Driver’s Abstract.
