About the Role

Direct supervisor to one assigned shift of hourly employees, responsible for supervision, direction, and leadership in safety, quality, productivity, and engagement to ensure goals are met.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated board, including training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Evaluate employee performance, reward and discipline employees, and promote safety, quality production, and teamwork.
  • Resolve conflicts among employees.
  • Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude, and performance.
  • Ensure efficient and effective work, a safe work environment, and a quality product.
  • Effectively communicate operational information in oral and written formats to all levels.
  • Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and other organizational programs and initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • College and/or related technical courses highly preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the corrugated or packaging industries.
  • Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
