About the Role

The Education and Events Manager oversees the organization, supervision, and execution of public and private events, including classes, group reservations, buyouts, press events, tastings, and private dinners. This role reports to the Marketing Manager and oversees Education and Events staff.

Responsibilities

  • Co-manage La Scuola Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams.
  • Manage correspondence for the La Scuola department via email and phone.
  • Supervise events at La Scuola, including setup, oversight, and breakdown of classes and dinners.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and internal teams (chefs, beverage managers, restaurant staff).
  • Hire, develop, and manage Education & Events Associates.
  • Ensure individual events are planned correctly and run smoothly.
  • Develop public classes, including drafting descriptions, compiling instructor biographies, and creating registration pages.
  • Participate in organizing storewide events, promotions, and partner events.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to stand and be mobile for periods up to 8 hours in a high-volume environment.

Experience Level

  • 2+ years’ experience in the hospitality, restaurant, or events industry

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related field
  • Additional certification in event planning, marketing, or conference planning

Salary/Compensations

  • CAD $74,880.00 annually
