About the Role

AHRC NYC is seeking to hire a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee two Brooklyn Day Programs, providing evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of a licensed registered nurse for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• Maintain health records.
• Disseminate important proactive health information to staff and families.
• Train staff in OSHA, first aid, and medication support.
• Lead the team in health and safety.
• Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention in accordance with AHRC and ADS policies, OPWDD regulations, and standards of the professional registered nurse.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews.
• Understand the Scope of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses and required supervision for LPN and non-licensed staff.
• Supervise staff providing care, including AMAP's and LPN's.
• Support ongoing health in a non-clinical setting.

Requirements

• New York State License as a Registered Nurse required.
• Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• CPR certified.
• Willing to oversee additional Brooklyn Day Programs.
