About the Role

Join Hertz in our digital transformation effort, capitalizing on new transportation opportunities. We are seeking software engineers to modernize our tech stack and deliver exceptional products to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-volume, low-latency applications.
• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze user requirements to define business objectives.
• Envision system features and functionality.
• Develop and test software.
• Identify and resolve technical issues.
• Create detailed design documentation.
• Propose changes to current infrastructure.
• Develop technical designs for application development.
• Write well-designed, testable code.
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies, and presenting for architectural review.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and common data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to write production-ready, maintainable code with moderate supervision.
• Ability to design, develop, and support systems of moderate complexity.
• Ability to participate in code reviews and contribute to overall code quality.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally to gather requirements and explain technical solutions.
• Strong product sense with the ability to align technical decisions to business objectives and make appropriate tradeoffs.
• Learning mentality with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, tools, and business needs.

Experience Level

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering

Education Level

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent

Salary/Compensations

• $135,000 to $150,000
