About the Role

AlgorithmWatch is seeking a part-time employee for supporter care within the Fundraising and Donation Management team. This role involves supporting donors and other supporters by responding to inquiries, processing donations, and expressing gratitude, acting as a liaison to understand their needs and inspire them throughout their donation journey.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and communication (primarily via email) to donors, members, and interested parties.
• Process and record online and offline donations, including data control and maintenance in the CRM system.
• Collaborate with the finance department, reconcile data with accounting, and process donation receipts and chargebacks.
• Assist with the import and processing of web data.
• Create and update process descriptions.
• Manage dispatch activities for donors and supporters.
• Participate in regular exchange meetings to learn about other teams' tasks.
• Contribute to projects within the Engagement team and support the implementation of new ideas.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with data through jobs, internships, or vocational training.
• Experience in service and customer care.
• Proficiency with Office tools and experience with a CRM system.
• Careful work ethic and good numerical understanding.
• Ability to work independently and reliably as part of a team.
• Open and clear communication skills with a collaborative approach to developing ideas and solutions.
• Fluent German and very good English language skills.
• Willingness to learn new software, including donation/fundraising software, CRM, and CMS.
