About the Role
Under the general supervision of the lead employment case manager, the employment case manager is responsible for engaging individuals in job readiness related activities to obtain the skills necessary in preparing for future employment.
Responsibilities
- Works with assigned cases as outlined within the interorganizational design of the employment program.
- Manages non-compliant recipients.
- Handles WEP, HSE, ESL and Job Search assignments.
- Develops worksites.
- Completes bi-weekly client lists for gasoline and submits for payment to finance.
- Ensures all gas stations are notified of current clients receiving gas.
- Meets with WFD as needed to ensure design is working.
- Meets with DSS examiners as needed.
- Complies with all contract requirements.
- Contacts each client via telephone call; if unsuccessful, completes a home visit.
- If client is not home, generates and prints a letter on site addressed to the client, or a second attempt at both phone call and home visit may be needed.
- Sets individual appointments with clients once contact is made to continue meeting and engaging them regularly.
- Places participants in an appropriate work site within the county, based on individual need, using the CMS referral system.
- Engages all participants in employment activities to help them become work ready.
- Supports Client Employment Plans, ensuring they are updated regularly.
- Ensures CMS case notes reflect changes in case status as needed.
- Attends staff meetings and other required meetings.
- Participates in agency functions as appropriate.
- Attends mandatory training.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- 1-2 years of case management experience in a human services setting.
- Relevant years of experience and education will be considered.
- Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
- Adheres to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations including those governing confidentiality, privacy, program, billing, and documentation standards.
- All duties must be performed in accordance with CCFCS’s corporate compliance & ethics program.
- Employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands to type and/or perform light lifting.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
