About the Role
This position promotes meal assistance to patients and residents on a daily basis, assisting with meal selections, assembly, and delivery of meals and food products for hospital patients, residents, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safe food handling using clean as you go procedures
- Assist patients with any needs related to their tray, such as opening products
- Accurately serve patients in accordance with their diet prescription
- Communicate patient concerns with the clinical dietitian
- Stock unit kitchens
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Typical work hazards associated with a kitchen such as using sharp utensils and cutting machines, hot items, and working with cleaning chemicals
- Requires prolonged standing, walking, or other constant physical movements on a routine basis
- Varied stress levels due to periodic or cyclic workload pressure

Education Level
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
- High School students accepted
Salary/Compensations
- $16 - $22 per hour
