About the Role
KPMG's Corporate Tax Advisory and Compliance (CTAC) practice is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager to join their vibrant team. This role offers a clear and accelerated pathway to Director, supported by bespoke development plans, leadership training, and direct mentorship. You will work with a broad range of clients, be at the forefront of providing International and Complex UK Tax Advisory services, and join a high-performing, intellectually curious team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor who understands their commercial objectives and delivers strategic tax advice.
- Lead the successful delivery of technically complex advisory projects, including tax structuring, refinancing, legal structure optimisation, pre/post transaction reorganisations, and managing tax authority enquiries.
- Provide critical technical support to the wider corporate tax team.
- Take ownership of coaching, developing, and inspiring more junior members of the team, fostering their technical skills and accelerating their career growth.
- Actively seek out and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with Directors and Partners to expand market presence and deliver innovative solutions.
- Manage tender processes and client pitches.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the CTAC team, including effective resource planning and performance management.
- Liaise with specialists across various departments and KPMG's global network to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary tax advisory projects.
- Serve as a role model for KPMG’s values, fostering an inclusive, supportive, and high-integrity work environment.
Requirements
- ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualification, complemented by strong corporate tax and accounting knowledge.
- Proven ability to develop, coach, and lead staff, fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Effectively manage senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, coupled with strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Well-developed analytical skills and a sharp commercial acumen.
- Proactive approach to identifying and progressing business opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and client relationships concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of drive, enthusiasm, and a consistently positive attitude.
- An inquisitive mind with meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to continuously develop technical expertise.
