About the Role
As our Demand Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, and purchasing across a long lead time, imported, high-SKU product portfolio. You'll drive forecast accuracy, balance inventory risk, and ensure exceptional product availability while partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to support business growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly demand planning process and deliver an aligned six-month forecast that supports business revenue objectives while maintaining service levels, inventory targets, and financial performance.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes and systems, acting as the key business expert for planning tools and driving efficiencies that enhance forecast accuracy and inventory performance.
- Partner across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Account Management, Supply Planning, and a network of approximately 80 suppliers to ensure alignment, manage risk, and respond effectively to changing market demands.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of planners, fostering accountability, problem-solving capability, and a collaborative culture focused on delivering exceptional results.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience within supply chain, demand planning, inventory management, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of forecasting principles, inventory management, and supply chain planning processes.
- Experience managing large SKU portfolios and complex supply chains.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Experience with forecasting and planning systems; Pronto knowledge will be highly regarded.
- Proven people leadership experience with strong coaching and development capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Results-driven mindset with strong ownership, attention to detail, and problem-solving capability.
- Reside in Australia and have full working rights.
