About the Role
AMD HR is seeking an experienced HR project leader to drive high-impact strategic initiatives that advance enterprise priorities, accelerate operational transformation, and support mergers and acquisitions integration. In this highly visible role, you will partner across HR and business teams to define priorities, structure execution plans, and deliver scalable process, system, and operating model improvements that strengthen organizational effectiveness. You will play a critical role in leading HR integration activities from pre-close planning through Day 1 readiness and post-close stabilization, helping acquired employees transition seamlessly into AMD’s HR ecosystem. This position offers broad exposure to senior HR and business leaders, providing the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide outcomes while shaping the future of HR operations, transformation, and growth at AMD.
Responsibilities
- Partner with HR and business stakeholders to assess complex business challenges, align cross-functional priorities, and develop scalable recommendations that enable successful execution of strategic HR initiatives and M&A integrations.
- Lead the planning and execution of HR strategic programs, including governance, project planning, change management, milestone tracking, and outcome measurement.
- Drive cross-functional process improvement initiatives that simplify operations, strengthen controls, and identify opportunities for automation, system enhancements, and AI-enabled ways of working.
- Lead global HR system enhancement programs that improve employee and manager experiences while supporting scalable business growth.
- Manage HR integration activities for mergers and acquisitions, coordinating across HR workstream leaders, HR business partners, and key stakeholders throughout the integration lifecycle.
- Oversee critical integration milestones, including pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness, HR systems, policies, processes, and post-close stabilization activities.
- Partner with HR and M&A leadership teams to identify risks, dependencies, and integration priorities while driving successful execution of strategic objectives.
- Prepare and deliver concise, executive-ready communications that provide visibility into program progress, risks, decisions, milestones, and business outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience leading global HR programs, strategic initiatives, transformation efforts, and organizational change management.
- Background in HR Centers of Excellence (COE), HR Business Partner (HRBP), HR Shared Services, or enterprise HR operations environments.
- Experience supporting HR mergers and acquisitions integration activities, including pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness, post-close execution, and stabilization.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly understand new business models, organizational structures, and HR environments.
- Experience leading large-scale global projects and driving stakeholder adoption through effective change management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, collaborate across functions, and influence stakeholders in a global matrixed organization.
- Proven project management expertise, including the ability to prioritize effectively, structure complex challenges, and drive disciplined execution.
- Experience working within multicultural, cross-functional, and globally distributed teams.
- Experience facilitating process improvement workshops and translating recommendations into sustainable business outcomes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and AI-enabled tools to develop executive communications, project updates, and decision-support materials.
