About the Role

This role involves balancing, installing, and rotating tires, as well as stocking tires and batteries and repairing tires. The position requires assisting members with purchasing and returning tires and batteries, answering questions, and making recommendations, all while providing a high level of member service.

Responsibilities

• Balances, installs, and rotates tires.
• Stocks tires and batteries and repairs tires.
• Answers member questions and makes product recommendations.
• Assists members with purchasing and returning tires and batteries.
• Provides a high level of member service.
• Locates member cars in the tire shop area of the lot.
• Lists body damage on service order.
• Drives member vehicle into install bay and onto hydraulic hoist.
• Removes the wheel using an impact gun.
• Removes tire from wheel and cleans hub and wheel rim.
• Mounts new tire on wheel and fills tire to appropriate air pressure.
• Operates automatic balance machine to balance wheel.
• Attaches weights to rims.
• Mounts wheels to auto using the impact gun.
• Repairs flat tires for members and non-members.
• Sells tires.
• Invoices tire purchase and service invoice.
• Loads tires on dolly or rolls tires to install area.
• Alerts supervisor or manager for torque check and 10-point check and authorizes vehicle release.
• Parks member auto in lot and returns invoice and keys to sales desk.
• Cleans the installation area by sweeping, mopping, spraying, and wiping.
• Stocks tires and batteries in the sales area.
• Rings up orders, receives payment, makes change, and processes transactions.
• Calculates refund amount for warranty returns.
• Communicates with Tire Shop Manager, Buyers, Receiving Departments, and Inventory Auditors regarding merchandise.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of potentially hazardous materials spills.
• Operates vehicles, equipment, or machinery.
• Assists with department duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
