About the Role
Actively greets members, provides a high level of member service, and performs clean up, department set-up, and closing tasks as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Greets members, helps members load orders onto the conveyor belt, determines member packing preferences, answers questions, relates information on special promotions, and thanks members.
- Assists cashiers by counting items left in carts, checking under items, and positioning them for scanning.
- Packs member orders into boxes and loads them onto a separate cart or flatbed.
- Checks packaging for tampering and follows all safety, security, and departmental procedures.
- Assists members loading orders into their cars when appropriate.
- May assist members with self-checkouts by scanning heavy merchandise and entering item numbers.
- May monitor self-checkout registers for errors and keep the belt area clean of product and debris.
- Maintains cleanliness of the register area and general front-end area, cleaning spills and trip hazards immediately.
- Performs set up and closing duties for the department, including returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning the area.
- Transfers pallets of merchandise from the receiving area to storage or the sales floor.
- Assists with stocking and clears sales floor debris.
- Observes and ensures correct product signage, creates computer-generated signs, and labels unmarked product with item numbers.
- Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Assists with department duties as necessary.
- Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
- Operates vehicles, equipment, or machinery.
Requirements
- Open availability is needed to meet the needs of the business.
- Must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States if hired.
