About the Role

Assists Pharmacists to fill and dispense prescriptions for customers, provides high level of member service, and maintains pharmacy inventory and records.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers at the counter, receives prescriptions, and retrieves filled prescriptions.
• Rings up orders, receives payment, makes change, and processes various payment methods.
• Updates patient profiles and enters prescription information into the pharmacy computer system, as permitted by State law.
• Answers phones and provides prompt, courteous member service.
• Assists Pharmacists in filling prescriptions under direct supervision.
• Prepares third-party insurance claims, as permitted by State law.
• Processes invoices and makes accounting entries using a computerized system.
• Orders, receives, tags, and stocks prescription drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter products.
• Creates product signs and follows merchandising plans.
• Maintains department cleanliness and follows safety and security procedures.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Operates vehicles, equipment, or machinery.
• Assists with department duties and other warehouse departments as needed.
