About the Role

Assists Pharmacists to fill and dispense prescriptions for customers, provides high-level member service, and maintains pharmacy inventory and records using a computerized system.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers at the counter, receives written prescriptions, and retrieves filled prescriptions.
• Rings up orders, receives payment, makes change, and processes checks, credit, and debit charges.
• Updates patient profiles and enters prescription information into the pharmacy computer as allowed by State law.
• Answers phones and provides prompt, courteous member service, including answering questions and directing members.
• Assists Pharmacists in filling prescriptions under direct supervision.
• Prepares third-party insurance claims as allowed by State law.
• Processes invoices and makes accounting entries using a computerized system.
• Orders, receives, tags, and stocks prescription drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter products.
• Follows product storage procedures and merchandising plans.
• Creates product signs.
• Cleans the department, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Empties trash and operates a trash compactor and cardboard baler.
• Follows security and safety procedures, including proper disposal of confidential documents, immunization supplies, and hazardous waste.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Operates vehicles, equipment, or machinery.
• Assists with department duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.

Requirements

• Must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States.
• Open availability is needed to meet the needs of the business.
