About the Role
Catholic Charities of Long Island is seeking a dedicated Residential Manager with a passion for helping developmentally disabled adults achieve their goals and live a full life. This role is crucial in ensuring quality resident care and supporting the mission of providing dignified and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality of resident care is provided, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week
- Develop and implement Individualized Service Plans
- Manage staff scheduling, training, performance management and regulatory compliance
- Oversee optimal household maintenance and adherence to budgets
Requirements
- BA/BS plus 2 years' or HSD/GED plus 3-5 years' management or staff supervisory experience in a group home for developmentally disabled adults
- Experience caring for medically frail seniors, including those with mobility issues
- Clean, valid NYS Driver’s License
- Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule according to resident care needs
- Ability to perform tasks that may require stooping, crouching, and 2-person lifting up to 250 pounds
- Ability to maintain personal safety and respond appropriately in a calm, non-confrontational manner during an individual's physical or emotional outburst
