About the Role
BluePearl Pet Hospital is opening a new specialty and emergency hospital in South Austin, TX, and is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician Manager to lead, inspire, and develop the team. This role is key in shaping the culture, clinical excellence, and future success of the newest BluePearl hospital.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Veterinary Technicians and Assistants.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
- Partner with hospital leadership to ensure exceptional patient care and operational excellence.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for technicians while maintaining advanced technical skills.
- Coach team members through performance development, training, and ongoing feedback.
- Help onboard and develop new associates while promoting continued learning.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and implement process improvements.
- Communicate changes in protocols, policies, and best practices to the team.
- Build strong relationships across departments to support a collaborative hospital environment.
- Assist with performance evaluations, documentation, and employee development initiatives.
