About the Role
The Safety Associate is one of the first points of contact for patients, visitors, and employees for MVHS campuses. This role involves greeting and screening individuals, providing concierge services, and resolving sensitive issues with diplomacy and tact in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Escort or transport patients and visitors, sometimes by wheelchair, to all levels of care areas and departments.
- Resolve difficult and sensitive issues and complaints.
- Participate in policy and process improvements based on observations and experiences.
- Greet patients and visitors.
- Create visitor and vendor badges.
- Direct patients and visitors to appointment and room locations.
- Provide concierge services to patients, assisting with logistical questions.
- Obtain, record, organize, and communicate information with patients and visitors quickly and accurately.
- Comply with all MVHS safety and risk management policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 1 year of patient care or customer service experience.
- Exceptional customer service, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize computers and software.
