About the Role

The Specialized Trading Operations Team supports the daily trading activity of Charles Schwab Trust Bank’s (CSTB) institutional retirement clients. As an entry-level position, the Trading Operations Associate will monitor and assist in the successful execution of trades for retirement clients, gaining an understanding of the retirement industry and equity markets. This role offers opportunities to learn various functions within the team, engage in projects, and enhance processes within a growing business unit.

Responsibilities

Monitor and assist in the successful execution of trades for retirement clients.
Engage with daily processes to determine process improvements.
Execute independent processes while working within a team.
Communicate with external clients, management, and business partners.
Research and resolve issues.
Coordinate and execute special handling events with fund companies.
Engage with fund companies to enter into new trading agreements, amend existing contracts, and maintain the division’s security master.

Requirements

Ability to quickly learn, process, and identify improvements.
Interest in the financial services industry and markets.
Motivated to gain knowledge and experiences in the financial services industry.
Ability to research and resolve issues.
Intermediate Excel skills preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
