About the Role

eBay's Global Product Marketing team seeks a strategic Product Marketing leader to drive seller acquisition, activation, and engagement for eBay’s C2C business. This role is central to Product, Data, and Marketing, defining the product marketing strategy to convert private/C2C sellers from initial interest to habitual users. The Senior Product Marketing role will lead a full-funnel growth strategy, understanding seller motivations, identifying product friction, prioritizing the funnel, and synthesizing insights to drive private seller success. As the end-to-end owner of the C2C seller activation and growth journey, this role drives funnel performance, seller behavior insights, and cross-functional alignment to accelerate C2C growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own the narrative and in-product experience for C2C seller product experiences.
  • Prioritize high-impact opportunities to improve customer conversion, retention, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-domain PMMs to drive product and value prop enhancements for the seller journey.
  • Advise Product teams on seller motivations, friction points, and behavioral patterns.
  • Use funnel-level insights to shape product prioritization across domains.
  • Connect domain-level product improvements to activation outcomes and long-term seller value.
  • Drive inbound strategy by gathering market insights and the 'voice of the customer' to influence the product roadmap and develop core positioning.
  • Focus outbound responsibilities on bringing products to market through high-impact launch campaigns, sales enablement, and compelling storytelling.
  • Be the voice of customers and an expert of personas in the target audience.
  • Influence product roadmap with new/improved experiences based on customer research, competitive analysis, and market trends.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing and Strategy in consumer, online services, or marketplace industry.
  • Deep end-to-end Product Marketing expertise, including audience segmentation, naming, positioning, messaging, and GTM execution.
  • Strong knowledge of connecting Product-Market-Fit and Go-to-Market for business impact.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing and aligning cross-functional collaborators and senior leadership.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, advocate for data-driven recommendations, and stand confidently behind strategic decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead from ambiguity to structure, creating clarity and scalable frameworks in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Solid experience building with GenAI tools and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, LangChain), with at least 1–2 years applying them to real-world workflows or products.
  • Comfort with scripting, prototyping, and building fast with Python, Streamlit, or internal equivalents.
  • Fluency in prompt engineering, few-shot design, and shaping system behavior through well-structured context and tone.
