About the Role

The Ramp Super Lead demonstrates proper work methods and conducts on-the-job training. This role ensures compliance with WFS site security procedures and reports any security breaches or suspicious activities. Leads do not have disciplinary authority. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain satisfactory quantity and quality of work by assigned personnel.
  • Explain and demonstrate work procedures and methods, including safety.
  • Apportion and schedule assigned work.
  • Observe and analyze methods used and results achieved.
  • Bring problems to the attention of management.
  • Assist management in the utilization of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Perform work according to Company rules and regulations.
  • Assist with escorts.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the ramp.
  • Assist with staging pallets during aircraft offloads.
  • Load and unload cargo (express, baggage, freight, and company material) on and off aircraft.
  • Transport cargo between the sort, platform, and aircraft.
  • Perform ramp transfers of containers/cargo as required.
  • Receive, deliver, and physically handle customer/company material.
  • Complete forms and messages necessary for the performance of designated functions.
  • Transport containers to and from aircraft.
  • Assist in loading, unloading, and racking both filled and empty drums.
  • Perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities.
  • Assist in monitoring facility security.

Requirements

  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and days off.
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must join the Transport Workers Union (TWU) and pay union dues.
