About the Role

The Project Director, Rolling Stock, Controls & Systems serves as the single point of accountability for Alto across assigned work packages, ensuring delivery in accordance with Alto’s contractual obligations and strategic objectives. This role is focused on delivering outcomes rather than managing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for assigned work packages, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, cost, quality, and contractual commitments.
  • Provide leadership and decision-making to achieve project objectives and delivery milestones.
  • Monitor performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain delivery commitments.
  • Drive execution by proactively identifying, escalating, and resolving issues that may impact delivery.
  • Mobilize and coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical, commercial, procurement, legal, finance, and other functions, to remove barriers and support project execution.
  • Foster accountability and collaboration across teams to maintain delivery momentum and achieve results.
  • Act as Alto's primary interface with Cadence for assigned work packages.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships to ensure alignment on priorities, performance expectations, and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure Alto fulfills its commitments through effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish structured and effective communication channels between Alto and Cadence.
  • Provide clear, timely, and decision-oriented updates on delivery progress, risks, and key issues.
  • Support governance and executive decision-making by ensuring communications are coordinated, consistent, and actionable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in project management or a related role.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Planner, Oracle Primavera).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
