About the Role

As a Tax Senior Associate within RSM’s Corporate Tax services, you will help public and private multinational corporate tax clients meet their accounting for income tax reporting requirements and income tax consulting and compliance obligations. You will advise clients on their tax strategy using both industry experience and technical expertise with a cross-functional team, delivering a customized technology-enabled service model to facilitate better decision-making in achieving client strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare complex Tax returns
  • Develop, motivate, and train staff level and intern team members
  • Perform detailed review and analysis of Tax returns
  • Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, and concerns
  • Perform, document, and summarize research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues
  • Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree – preferably in Accounting or related field of study
  • Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam or a licensed JD
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a public accounting environment
  • Experience with C-Corps
  • Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements
  • Experience preparing and reviewing returns
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Masters of Accounting
  • CPA, JD, LLM, or EA
  • Experience with a national or large regional accounting firm
  • Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740
  • Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, review experience a plus
  • Experience in dealing with international tax matters a plus
  • Fluent in French(Francais), German(Deutsch), Japanese(日本語) or Mandarin(普通话) to include but not limited to speaking, writing and reading with a deep understanding of the culture and business practices within country of fluency
  • Proven track record of managing relationships with large non US companies with significant operations in North America

Experience Level

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a public accounting environment
  • Recent U.S. college / university graduate possessing 1-2 years of progressive and relevant work experience in a same or similar role to the one for which you are applying, excluding internships, you may be eligible for hire as an experienced associate.

Salary/Compensations

  • $67,900 - $128,700
