About the Role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Specialist for Employment & Orientation to support individuals with refugee and migration experience in their integration into the labor market, as well as in self-employment and business start-ups. This role is crucial for the "PRIMA-Lab" project, which aims to facilitate labor market integration for individuals with refugee and migration backgrounds and disabilities. The position is based in Güstrow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and is funded by the EU and the German Federal Government.

Responsibilities

Develop, create, and ensure the quality of accessible, linguistically sensitive learning and qualification materials, as well as self-empowerment resources for individuals with refugee backgrounds in digital and analog formats.
Conceptualize and develop self-learning materials, guides, handbooks, and practice-oriented resources to promote inclusive access to the labor market, considering diverse perspectives.
Contribute to the conception, organization, implementation, and evaluation of qualification and training formats for various target groups, focusing on inclusive and accessible design and psychosocial support.
Participate in the development and delivery of training, information, and sensitization programs for professionals, employers, partner organizations, and migrant self-organizations regarding the training materials.
Provide support in individual socio-pedagogical guidance.
Assist in coordinating program activities and services in close collaboration with project partners, counseling centers, and other involved organizations.

Requirements

Completed university degree or equivalent qualification in communication, media pedagogy, humanities, or educational sciences.
Knowledge of German as a Second Language (DAZ) and subject-specific language didactics, and experience in developing subject-specific learning materials.
Experience in developing analog and digital learning materials and platforms, considering accessibility for the target group.
Experience working with individuals with migration backgrounds or with visible or invisible impairments and disabilities.
Experience in developing training courses and leading workshops.
Knowledge of developing IFSL materials and language-sensitive work instructions is an advantage.
Team player with organizational skills and willingness to collaborate with partners and network.
German language proficiency at C1 level and English language proficiency at B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
Willingness to undertake regular business trips (approx. 10% of working time).
