About the Role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Specialist for the "Beruf & Orientierung" (Career & Orientation) program, focusing on the "PRIMA-Lab" project. This role supports individuals with refugee and migration experience, as well as those with disabilities, in their integration into the labor market. The position involves planning and conducting workshops, developing training formats, providing individual coaching, and building networks with employers and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Planning and execution of workshops to promote psychosocial, social, and everyday practical skills, as well as personal strengthening of participants.
Development and execution of training, information, and sensitization formats for specialists, employers, partner organizations, and migrant interest groups.
Contribution to the development and provision of accessible, language-sensitive learning, qualification, and empowerment offerings for people with refugee experience and disabilities – digital, in-person, and self-learning formats.
Participant recruitment, individual counseling, coaching, and socio-pedagogical support with a focus on labor market entry, career orientation, and labor market integration, as well as strengths-based competency analyses.
Support for transitions into training and employment through internships, company visits, job shadowing, and the development of accessible pathways to support and assistance services.
Building, maintaining, and networking with employers, migrant communities, project partners, and other relevant actors to promote inclusive employment and participation opportunities.
Coordination of program activities, participation in evaluation, impact analysis, and the further development of inclusive concepts and frameworks.

Requirements

Completed university degree or comparable qualification in education, social pedagogy, adult education, social work, or psychology.
Minimum of two years of experience in counseling and supporting job seekers, particularly in the labor market integration of individuals with migration experience and/or individuals with visible or invisible disabilities and impairments.
Experience in leading training courses and workshops.
Sound knowledge of the local labor market, labor law regulations (e.g., SGB II), application procedures, and recruiting methods.
Knowledge of specialized language materials (IFSL materials) is an advantage.
Existing network with relevant actors in the field of inclusion/migration and volunteers is an advantage.
Willingness to work in a team, organizational skills, and readiness for collaboration and networking.
German language skills at C1 level and English language skills at B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
Additional language skills in languages spoken by the target group (e.g., Ukrainian, Arabic, Dari, etc.) are an advantage.
Willingness for regular business trips (approx. 10% of working time).
