About the Role
This position is responsible for the administration of material receiving stations to shop floor and all Point of Use locations, aiming to improve the department's efficiency and performance through training and continuing education.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process material to POU location by required date.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and achieve inventory goals.
- Ensure all aspects of the MRP process are followed.
- Assist with MRP and work MRP messages.
- Assist in monitoring and measuring to meet all materials goals.
- Monitor and maintain the accuracy of Live Bus records.
- Promote and facilitate lean manufacturing and 5's programs for materials and engage the 5P's.
- Maintain the integrity of data in systems and measurements of all areas in materials.
- Transact all inventory adjustments and continually improve and drive the reduction of inventory adjustments.
- Ensure discrete job accuracy, maintaining accuracy of data requirements and reject requirements.
- Update uncontrollable items with lists (daily, weekly, monthly counts) using proper forms and following the uncontrollable parts process.
- Provide assistance in the reduction of obsolete inventory to zero, drive past due demand to zero, and monitor/maintain sub-inventories.
- Provide assistance with ISO procedures and work instructions.
- Administer analysis in key areas: monitor and reduce obsolete inventory to zero, ensure driving past due demands to zero, monitor and reduce negatives to zero.
- Monitor to meet goal expectations with UORS, variance, and maintain in-transit within 24 hours with a work here list and work ASBN list.
- Maintain material in STAGING REC 99 (material with no default locator) within 24 hours.
- Perform all receiving functions, including working cross-functionally with Finance, Purchasing, Internal Audit, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and other related departments to achieve departmental goals.
- Assist the materials team and leadership in achieving the budget in materials, supplies, salary/indirect labor, overtime, and operational expenses.
- Ensure compliance to ISO procedures, work instructions, and 5P's to promote continuous improvement within the department.
- Reconcile material issues and define root cause of any material variances.
- Assist the Retro line with all material issues and completion of all bill of lading (BOL) paperwork process.
- Prepare work order packages for delivery, supply line prints to production lines on a timely basis, create verification production books, and maintain data on IBUS.
- Upload ECO exploder daily and publish daily past due measurements.
- Work all error lists associated with receiving and transfer demands beyond original facility.
- Maintain knowledge and work cross-functionally with other departments in materials, equipment, and technique.
- Act as a member of the cost reduction team.
- Maintain a safe work environment; adhere to safety policies, procedures, and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Exceptional Excel skills with analytical strengths.
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- 3-5 years of previous experience.
- Use of effective checklists and shortage lists to plan next day work.
