About the Role

This role will support the Phase 1D Research project, providing hands-on project management leadership through planning, design, construction, and close-out stages. The position requires excellent managerial, technical, project controls, and contractual knowledge to mitigate project risk and manage stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on project management leadership during planning, design, construction, and close-out stages.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure value for money and a collaborative management approach with construction partners and service providers.
• Develop technical requirements and performance specifications during design.
• Conduct site reviews, schedule reviews, and provide monthly project status updates during construction.
• Manage contract administration, lead meetings, and oversee deficiency reviews and rectification.
• Oversee commissioning and contract closeout.
• Provide oversight of individuals on the project, which may include FF&E & Occupancy Planning.
• Support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with regulatory and legislative requirements.

Requirements

• Excellent managerial, technical, project controls, and contractual knowledge.
• Hands-on direct project experience is critical.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
• Experience in municipal planning processes is very desirable.
