About the Role

C&S Companies is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer with 0-3 years of experience to join a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves performing mechanical engineering calculations, preparing design documents, and coordinating with other disciplines on diverse projects including Higher Education, Municipal Facilities, Industrial, Design-build, Aviation, and Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of a licensed mechanical engineer.
• Performs mechanical engineering calculations, edits specifications, and prepares design drawings.
• Assists in developing project construction documents, including site visits, specifications, drawings, equipment sizing, and cost estimates.
• Coordinates mechanical designs with other design disciplines.
• Provides services during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and performing field observations.
• Travels occasionally for project delivery.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of related mechanical/HVAC design and project management experience.
• Understanding of design and construction documents.
• Knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to succeed in small and large multi-disciplinary team environments.
• Ability to set deadlines, assign resources, and monitor/summarize project progress.

Skills

• Proficiency in CADD & REVIT preferred.
• Good graphic, communications (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
