About the Role
C&S Companies is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer with 0-3 years of experience to join a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves performing mechanical engineering calculations, preparing design documents, and coordinating with other disciplines on diverse projects including Higher Education, Municipal Facilities, Industrial, Design-build, Aviation, and Healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Works under the supervision of a licensed mechanical engineer.
- Performs mechanical engineering calculations, edits specifications, and prepares design drawings.
- Assists in developing project construction documents, including site visits, specifications, drawings, equipment sizing, and cost estimates.
- Coordinates mechanical designs with other design disciplines.
- Provides services during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and performing field observations.
- Travels occasionally for project delivery.
Requirements
- 0-3 years of related mechanical/HVAC design and project management experience.
- Understanding of design and construction documents.
- Knowledge of building codes.
- Ability to succeed in small and large multi-disciplinary team environments.
- Ability to set deadlines, assign resources, and monitor/summarize project progress.
Skills
- Proficiency in CADD & REVIT preferred.
- Good graphic, communications (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
