About the Role

Brooklyn Basketball is seeking part-time Youth Basketball Coaches to assist with on-court basketball instruction for youth ages 6-17. After six months of part-time employment, coaches become eligible to apply for full-time opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-court basketball instruction for youth ages 6-17.
• Support Head Coach with on-court basketball drills and games.
• Teach and demonstrate skills and techniques vital for individual and team development.
• Identify new basketball drills and ideas to advance basketball training.
• Interact thoroughly and patiently with children, fellow coaches, and parents.
• Drive engagement for local community members and basketball leagues.
• Build awareness and attention to the Brooklyn Basketball brand.
• Build relationships with the basketball community that will help expand the Brooklyn Basketball brand.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have a flexible schedule and availability during weekends and holidays.
• Ability to travel to various areas within the NYC Metro Area.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Highly communicative with excellent verbal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
