About the Role
Brooklyn Basketball is seeking part-time Youth Basketball Coaches to assist with on-court basketball instruction for youth ages 6-17. After six months of part-time employment, coaches become eligible to apply for full-time opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with on-court basketball instruction for youth ages 6-17.
- Support Head Coach with on-court basketball drills and games.
- Teach and demonstrate skills and techniques vital for individual and team development.
- Identify new basketball drills and ideas to advance basketball training.
- Interact thoroughly and patiently with children, fellow coaches, and parents.
- Drive engagement for local community members and basketball leagues.
- Build awareness and attention to the Brooklyn Basketball brand.
- Build relationships with the basketball community that will help expand the Brooklyn Basketball brand.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a flexible schedule and availability during weekends and holidays.
- Ability to travel to various areas within the NYC Metro Area.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Highly communicative with excellent verbal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
