About the Role
Major League Baseball seeks an Event Ticketing & Financial Analyst to manage essential financial operations, including order processing, invoicing, and reconciliation of seasonal ticket and jewel event ticket usage. This role supports ticket programs, provides administrative support, and delivers customer service to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Build patron accounts, fulfill and distribute ticket inventory using internal ticketing programs, the Requestix system, and the Ballpark App.
- Manage month-end reporting, create Microsoft Excel pivot tables, prepare financial reconciliations, and handle billing/invoicing for internal departments and external groups accurately and timely.
- Oversee the compilation of financial documents and reporting for Global Events, including budget forecasting items for the Finance department.
- Deliver high-level customer service and troubleshoot ticketing issues for internal employees regarding both business and personal ticket requests.
- Assist with the daily operations of the Employee Ticket and Today's Tickets programs, while providing ad-hoc administrative and operational support for MLB jewel events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one to three years relevant work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional demeanor, self-starter, organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills, technical accounting proficiency, effective problem-solving skills and strong ability to interpret accounting information/reports.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours on game days and weekends as needed.
Skills
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ticketing programs such as Archtics or ProVenue is highly preferred, but not required.
