About the Role
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Wastewater Modeller to join their Water Management team. This role involves developing wastewater models, managing projects, and collaborating with clients to expand the project portfolio. The position is ideal for a motivated professional looking to lead client engagement and ensure technical deliverables meet client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure modelling projects of various scales.
- Conduct technical reviews of wastewater models, oversee model build and verification, and manage survey specifications.
- Develop strategic solutions for flooding mitigation and CSO spill reduction.
- Provide support to designers during concept, outline, and detailed design stages.
- Review and enhance technical reports and presentations.
- Resolve technical modelling challenges and advance the team's technical expertise.
- Ensure project components comply with relevant standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, explaining model outputs and processes clearly.
- Support and guide junior team members.
- Assist with bid preparation, including narratives, cost estimates, and programmes.
- Coordinate project elements, including resource allocation, quality assurance, subcontractor interactions, and client feedback.
- Work with specialists from other engineering and environmental disciplines.
- Liaise with the Project Director or Manager and the client to support project progress.
- Foster a collaborative work environment and support the professional development of self and team members.
Requirements
- Advanced expertise in hydraulic modelling for wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.
- Skilled in team and stakeholder coordination and management.
- Proficient in InfoWorks ICM.
- Competent in using relevant GIS software packages.
- Proven experience in model quality assurance procedures.
- Strong report-writing skills.
- Advanced abilities in spreadsheet-based data analysis.
