About the Role
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will own HV projects (£5m–£50m) from site through to completion. This is a delivery-focused role with a strong electrical bias, ideal for someone who understands how substations and HV works are actually built and delivered on site. You will start with responsibility for a key project, with a clear path to managing multiple schemes as the pipeline grows. You will report to senior leadership but operate with a high level of autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Lead HV infrastructure projects from mobilisation through to completion
- Deliver projects safely, on programme, and within budget
- Take full responsibility for site performance and outcomes
- Manage Site Managers and Supervisors (2–3 direct reports initially)
- Coordinate multiple subcontractors across electrical and civil workstreams
- Drive standards, accountability and delivery on site
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Build strong working relationships and manage expectations
- Represent JSM professionally on high-value projects
- Oversee substation and electrical installation works
- Understand what “good” looks like in HV delivery
- Support coordination between design, installation, and commissioning
- Manage programme, risk and project performance
- Work alongside commercial teams on variations and reporting
- Keep projects moving and commercially under control
Requirements
- Proven delivery of HV projects (£5m+)
- Strong electrical / substation background
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
- Confident client-facing experience
- Hands-on delivery mindset
