About the Role

This internship offers the chance to work on real business problems within a fintech platform, using data to uncover insights, improve processes, and build tools that accelerate team efficiency. You will collaborate with various departments to answer key questions, automate reporting, and identify operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer, product, financial, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Build dashboards and reports to help teams monitor KPIs and make better decisions.
• Investigate business questions using SQL, spreadsheets, and Python.
• Present findings clearly and actionably to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assist with building predictive models to support business initiatives.
• Explore AI and machine learning applications to improve customer experience and internal operations.
• Clean, prepare, and validate datasets for modeling.
• Evaluate model performance and recommend improvements.
• Identify repetitive manual processes that could be automated using data.
• Build internal tools or scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Support experimentation by measuring outcomes and providing recommendations.
• Work alongside engineering, product, finance, growth, and operations on strategic initiatives.
• Help define metrics that measure business success.
• Support ad hoc analyses for leadership and special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• Comfortable working with data using SQL and Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Curious, proactive, and excited to solve ambiguous problems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn quickly.
• A genuine interest in startups and using data to drive business decisions.
