About the Role
The Technical Analyst provides technical support in research, case preparation, and project management within Livingston’s Global Trade Management team, assisting large companies in managing global supply chains.
Responsibilities
- Research and respond to requests for complex information professionally.
- Analyze and interpret information from clients or internal team members.
- Perform complex classification for goods across all industries.
- Validate required trade documentation.
- Conduct analysis on client tariff databases and make recommendations.
- Liaise with government departments regarding case presentation and documentation.
- Assist in preparing briefs, cases, and presentations for consultants.
- Prioritize and complete work according to project demands, customs requirements, and company standards.
- Provide on-the-job training to less experienced team members.
- Participate in the team's daily operations, including setting priorities, organizing work, coordinating with others, problem-solving, decision-making, attending meetings, and handling projects.
- Act as Lead Hand in the absence of the Project Coordinator or Project Manager.
- Manage small projects or portions thereof, such as Classification or Valuation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
Requirements
- 3 years of related experience.
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of the Harmonized System of Classification and customs regulations.
- Ability to reflect a professional company image.
- Demonstrated client service orientation.
- Analytical problem-solving ability with flexibility in dealing with diverse customer scenarios.
- Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to partner effectively.
- Highly organized and accurate, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to process large amounts of information accurately.
- Ability to make decisions and recommendations within authorized limits.
- Technically savvy with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), internet, and business equipment.
