About the Role
Join our dynamic team for the 26-27 school year! In this role, you will be responsible for bringing mentoring and facilitation, based in our unique student-centered approach, into NYC public schools.
Responsibilities
- Implement programming independently in challenging NYC public schools, serving Elementary, Middle, and High Schools.
- Serve as a mentor and positive role model.
- Recruit and retain students as needed.
- Learn and utilize the organization's methodology.
- Plan and implement after-school programming utilizing your background.
- Work on special projects and activities with students and community members.
- Attend staff meetings and training.
- Travel and physically work in any of the school communities and sites.
- Meet the demands of setting up spaces, handling supplies, and facilitating activities.
- Submit paperwork and enter data into the online database bi-weekly.
- Consistently show up prepared and on time for every scheduled session.
