About the Role

As a Service Advisor at Somerville Hino, you are a key point of contact for customers and an essential link between the service team and the shop. You are customer-focused, organized, and sales-minded, with a strong commitment to keeping customers safely on the road. You take pride in delivering accurate information, meeting service sales objectives, and ensuring a positive customer experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while recommending appropriate repairs and services based on customer needs.
  • Present maintenance recommendations and service menus in a clear and professional manner.
  • Prepare accurate labour and parts estimates and provide realistic timelines for service completion.
  • Answer incoming service calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with repeat customers and oversee assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate and monitor active service jobs to ensure timely completion.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, technicians, and the service team to maximize efficiency and results.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including work orders, purchase orders, invoices, and reports in accordance with company SOPs.
  • Communicate service reminders and follow up with customers as required.
  • Ensure the service area maintains a clean, safe, and professional appearance.
  • Proactively reach out to customers for service opportunities and accurately record information in the CRM system.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or post-secondary education.
  • Previous experience as a Truck or Automotive Service Advisor in a dealership environment is preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of sales experience; experience in a truck, automotive dealership, or aftermarket environment is an asset.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use company-provided software and systems.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
